Recoiling lanyard alarms are used to protect high-value items from removal whilst allowing the items to be handled. The lanyard’s length extends when pulled and retracts when let go, and the lasso on the end of the lanyard alarm can have its length adjusted to suit. The alarm is attached around or through the item to be protected. Should the alarm be cut, the unit will emit an audible alarm tone and flash a red LED. To enable the lanyard to be removed without setting off the alarm, it must be removed using the appropriate magnetic de-coupler device.

Lanyard tags and security labels provide an effective method of secure key and asset management. Keys and assets having a tag or security label attached to them will assist in deterring residents from attempting to take the items from staff.
